Ginza Japanese Restaurant in Egg Harbor Township

Hit or miss, there have been several times where I got food poisoning from their sushi. It usually only happens when I order to go at night. All you can eat is a fun option but a lot of times they don't bring everything you mark on the menu, or bring things you didn't mark and pretend you wrote it yourself to save face. Overall quality isn't high but they have a decent selection of things to eat from sushi to deep fried meats.

My friend and I recently ordered from Ginza and saw that they are opened for outdoor dining. The tables are set up in front of the shop which is nice because the roof provide shading. This is my favorite sushi place around by far, consistently fresh delicious food, and always lovely service. I highly suggest checking it out.

Avocado roll, NY roll, spicy tuna roll. Shrimp dumplings DELICIOUS! LOVED the atmosphere! Super clean. Friendly staff

The all you can eat food is good. Calamari though are cooked on a very thick and hard breading and it is difficult to chew and swallow. Sushi and sashimi are good but some cuts are bigger than usual. Dinner price is very affordable and includes hibachi.

Worst experience ever. Layout has changed, and also the workers. The food which was once good is now awful.We tried the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, but was forced to a long wait even though there wasn't many people there. After we were approaching close to an hr wait, we finally received our food covered in salt. Every bite was a mouthful of salt. A disgusting underhanded tactic used to make the food unappetizing and guests to fill up on drinks.Would never recommend eating here. Hands down the worst experience when it comes to buffets.

This place is a poor excuse for Japanese food. Every time I've been here which wasn't many the food was not good. But that would be OK if the service was good. The staff here always have the look of doom and gloom. I've never gotten even a smile from them let alone, good service. Recently, someone also posted on Egg Harbor Township Area Happenings Facebook page a very sad experience they had with their family and 1 yr old kid. They said, "Went to Ginza 2 next to shop rite on English creek for lunch. Server was really rude to us for some reason. My 1 year old dropped some rice on the floor in our booth which we tried to clean up. When I got my check there was a $5 charge for 'open bar' when my wife asked what that charge was for is when we were informed because floor was messy. "Needless to say, this family said they will never go again.

The food is amazing for an affordable price. But if you’re looking for refills on anything, GOODLUCK! My boyfriend and I waited 10 minutes on refills and it was not so bad until we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take our orders. The staff were constantly on their phone and walked right by our tables, TEXTING. I think the boss needs to enforce some rules to have better customer service.

The sushi & sashimi are extremely well put together. A little pricey but definitely worth every penny. Soup & white rice are good with your sushi. Eat here once a week minimum.

Awesome all you can eat option great sushi

Best place in town. Sashimi are fresh, sushi are taste good. The best part we have a small booth or small room like a private room in the side like a Japanese style. Price for all you can eat is reasonable, service is fast, very clean, plenty of parking outside. Did I mention they have hibachi grills also. Other thing is BYOB. highly recommended

I will NEVER step foot in this place again! I have been a loyal customer for years. The new owners are horrible. I came in with my family and they were rude from the beginning. (One Young Japanese kid in particular who claimed to be manager) My one year old son dropped some rice in our booth which we couldn't reach to clean up. We received our check which had a $5 charge “open bar”. We asked the young man what exactly that charge was for and he said “you make mess on my floor you pay $5” ( I did not pay the $5 btw I made him remove the charge) my wife and daughter were embarrassed by the situation. By time we got home my whole family felt sick. I have talked to others that said if you have children or tattoos you will be discriminated against.

Had the best service I have ever had in the 15 years of going to Ginza tonight, we never had terrible service at the old cardiff location but it wasn't the friendliest. Our server was GiGi she was awesome, perfectly tenative to our table, pleasant, polite, helpful, and understandable which can sometimes can be a problem for the hard of hearing. I dont want to underscore the food either it was great, I stick with the same thing after all these years habachi chicken and pork goyza it was delish NOTHING different at all, didnt taste different, look different, nada. It is important for me to write this because after hearing it switched owners and reading the reviews I almost didnt go. Glad we did since we have always gone here as a family, it was my favorite spot during my pregnancy and today we celebrated our sons 15th birthday. Thanks for another great memory at Ginza

Excellent place for all you can eat sushi. The shu mai is also delicious along with the gyoza 😋 my favorite. Its a nice experience sitting in the closed booth. Overall, I recommend if you like sushi and other Japanese foods

One of our favorite spots! We eat here all the time. The "All You Can Eat" combined with BYOB is one of the greatest values we have found. Children are included for a very reasonable price (anywhere from $6 - $10, depending on age) and can eat Hibachi AND Sushi, which is fantastic for our family of 7! Yes, I have eaten better sushi, but for the price and the service, you can't beat this place! We have not found anything within 100 miles that our family enjoys or frequents as much as Ginza!

ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI AND HIBACHI!!!! There is no need to sleep on this one, just go! The food was delicious, environment was very clean, and staff was friendly. Offers the standard hibachi table service, however once you are finished they will continue to bring more from the back.

Yum! This place is amazing. Fresh high quality sushi with a wide variety of different roll options. Amazing all you can eat specials as well as your standard menu. My husband and I have been going for years and will continue to do so.

This use to be our favorite sushi spot until the renovation and the new employees. Now food is hardly decent and rolls fall apart. Servers are non existent even tho there’s more servers to customer ratio. Takes forever to receive food and you have to literally hunt down your waiter to get a menu. Makes me sad because they have been consistently really bad since the change. We’re done with you Ginza.

This place has great sushi! They also have an all you can eat option for lunch that is excellent! Sometimes I have to send my server back to get my missing rolls from my order but other than that service is great!

Place is clean, people are friendly & polite. House soup had no wontons🙄, teriyaki chicken came with a huge amount of rice and 4 skewers of chicken most places do at least 6, general chicken was good, not greasy and had a clean hot, shrimp w/ lobster sauce was good but there wasn't any ground pork in it. Low mein was ok, very light in flavor.Overall I feel that the portions were small and the Food could've been more flavorful for my liking and just lacked a few typical components.

Food was great!! However, Fiona the manager was not friendly at all! She also wouldn't budge on anything! She talked herself and the restaurant out of money. We wanted to order fried ice cream to eat at the hotel but to take it out it went from 2.50 per person to $4 dollars a person?? How is that possible? Kids had to pay adult price for all you can eat, even though the staff tried to talk her into coming down on that for us because it's ridiculous!! She flat out refused. I probably wouldn't come again, spent over $100 dollars but the service leaves something to be desired.

Always good. Staff could use better training or more management in house. There is a ton of staff but they are standing around. Takes longer than it should for service. Food is good and there are no other options close by

wish i could put zero stars. used to be a great place to go for all you can eat.this time they messed up our orders and the food made us feel very sick. therefore i could not finish the six pieces of sushi they gave me EXTRA from the wrong order so they charged us eight dollars ON TOP of the overpriced meal. absolutely ridiculous. never coming back to this hell hole again. i understand if i ordered a whole meal and couldn’t finish it but it was their mistake and we had to pay.... plus the waitress only took our order and stared at us the rest of the time . terrible. if your looking for good sushi and a great atmosphere i would recommend ichiban in northfield, great food, very fresh, and extremely reasonable.

Great menu and quality. Attention to detail and personal touches are evident in the presentation. Never disappointed and sometimes surprised by an unexpected extra.

Its hard to give this restaurant a high rating, because I love sushi and I've been to many restaurants that gave great service and the sushi was amazing. The sushi hear was just OK, nothing special, nothing that made you say WOW this was amazing. The service was great, and we did receive or food pretty fast.

I usually LOVE this place there is NOTHING bad about the food at all it’s always good. However, I just left after coming here for the all you can eat dinner. Before I start, I paid over $80 and I tipped over 20%. I waitress so I’ll never tip under that. HALFWAY through the meal the server came over and gave some poor excuse saying we needed to pay now, something about the computer system. So I said okay no problem and handed him my card. He came back with it, I signed and tipped on card and set it back for him to collect. He then comes back with a box for the dish we ordered separate from the all you can eat (you can’t take all you can eat items home). Basically rushed us out of there because we ordered AND ATE a lot of food. We did not waste ANY food. He was rude and rushed us through our dinner. Very rude.

The food is almost always excellent but the service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's PAINFULLY slow when you're trying to eat. And the servers are also hit or miss, some of them are very polite and some of them are horrifically rude.But if you're not in a rush and you want good Japanese food, this is probably the best place in this area.

This place is great. My wife and I usually come for lunch, the all you can eat lunch is reasonably priced. If you consider how expensive it is for 🍣 sushi, it's a really good deal.Private booths are great for quiet meals, the doors close and give you all the privacy you could want.The Hibachi show is really cool. My kids love it.Over all the food is good...It's not just sushi, there is a lot to choose from.I will say, the sushi is good... But if I'm being completely honest I think there are better places for sushi... My wife disagrees, she thinks they are the best. However, as an over all experience, this place is probably the best one in this area.

The sushi is very good but the customer service is lacking quite a lot. I came in with 1 other person and decided to get the all you can eat sushi bar like we always do when we come here. When we ask for our order they tell us we can’t get that much, that’s understandable as they don’t want us wasting food but we come here often and know what we can handle so after we insist they take the whole order. When they bring the sushi out only about 2/3 of the order is filled which has always been a problem when we come here, so we just figured we’d send another order once we were finished what they brought out. Then we go to send our second order in and they say the sushi bar is closed, this is an hour prior to when the restaurant is listed to close. So I ask if it was written anywhere that the bar closed earlier than the kitchen and they responded with no it stays open until orders stop coming, and this answer came after being denied our second order.

The sushi here is amazing! Very high quality and fresh for a very nice price. The “all can you eat” is amazing you can order a lot for a good price!” The appetizers are also very good and you can call for take out and delivery! The service is very good and the waiters here are very friendly and nice and helpful definitely coming back again! And I recommend going here to anyone who hasn’t already!

Great sushi combos. Really fresh and tasty. Gotta stop by and stay for the all you can eat sometime, lots of friends say it is great.

I came here with my friend and it was very nice. Its very clean and the food is great. The service is alright. Its great for two or large groups, next time I want to try some separate area that you can have a more traditional style, where take off your shoes you sit on the floor but you need reservations for that so call ahead if you want that. Its looks pretty cool definitely coming back!
